1. Service Description

Yew&Stone agrees to provide light cleaning and maintenance services while preserving the integrity of the stone, which may include:

• Removal of dirt, moss, lichen, and other debris from the headstone.

• Removal of weeds, litter, or other unwanted materials around the grave site.

• Flower tributes | wreath arrangements service. 

• Additional services and special requirements as agreed upon with the customer.

2. Cleaning Process & Limitation

• We will use cleaning methods and materials deemed safe and appropriate for the preservation of the headstone and grave site.

• Biological cleaning solutions we used work gradually -  full results may not be immediate.

• Cleaning results may vary based on the stone condition, weathering, and past treatments.

• Depending on age of headstone|memorial cleaning may not be recommended and the service type will be tailored to suit.

• Some stains like deep-biological growth, may take multiple visits to fully remove. 

• Quality floral arrangements will be used at all times, however after the visit we cannot guarantee that they will not be damaged by external factors e.g. weather | nature.

 • All service come standard with an small fresh floral arrangement ( artificial flowers upon consultation).

3. Customer Responsibilities

• Customer must provide accurate details of the grave site location and any necessary permissions for access.

• Customer must provide accurate details of the headstone - condition and any known issues.

4. Payment Terms

• Payment must be made in full before tending services unless otherwise agreed. Visits will continue in line with payments being received.

• Invoice will be emailed.

5. Cancellations and Refunds

• Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours before the scheduled visit, with no charge.

• Refunds will only be issued if canceled before the cleaning process begins. £20 will be deducted from the refund as a cancellation fee to cover administrative expenses.

• We reserve the right to cancel service in case of non-payment, unsafe conditions or lack of access.

    

6. Weather Conditions

• We reserves the right to postpone or reschedule services if weather conditions (e.g., heavy rain, snow, extreme heat) make it unsafe or unsuitable to carry out the work.

• In the event of postponement due to weather, we will notify the customer as soon as possible and arrange a new date at no additional cost.

• We will not be held liable for delays caused by adverse weather conditions.

7. Travel milage 

• Work performed outside service area will be charged an additional fee of £0.45 per mile. This fee covers the additional time and resources required to travel outside the usual service area.

 

8. Liability

•  Public Liability insurance in place.

•  The great care is taken during cleaning headstones and we are not liable for damage caused by: pre-existing conditions, deterioration, weaknesses in the stone or acts of nature.​

 • We are not responsible for damage caused by previous cleaning methods (high-pressure washing, chemical damage, etc).

 

9. Photographic Evidence

•  We take photographs of the grave site before and after the cleaning for documentation and quality assurance purposes.

•  These photographs may be shared with client or used for promotional purposes unless client explicitly objects in writing.

 

10. Access and Permissions

• All tending will take place within the Cemetery Rules & Conditions

• Client is responsible for ensuring that we have lawful access to the grave site on scheduled date. 

• If a cemetery requires a permit for cleaning, the customer must arrange this before service.

• If we are unable to access the site on the scheduled day, the service may be postponed and a rebooking fee may apply.

 

11. Privacy

• We handle all client information in accordance with applicable data protection laws.

• All customer information is stored securely and used solely for processing orders and communication.

• We do not share customer details with third parties without consent.

 

12. Dispute Resolution

• Complaints must be submitted via email within 7 days of the service being carried out.

• We will investigate and respond within 5 working days.

• Disputes arising from these terms and conditions will be resolved through mutual negotiation.

13. Limitation of Liability

• Our total liability for any claims will not exceed the total fee paid for the service.

• To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from our services.

• We do not accept liability for acts beyond our control, including but not limited to weather, vandalism, or third-party interference.

 

14. Amendments

• We reserve the right to update these T&C at any time. Any significant changes will be notified via email or website updates.

• Continued use of our services after term updates implies constitutes acceptance of the changes.
